Open Space Zones
One of the Articles of the Eden Accords dictated that the whole of governed space, regardless of which human government owned it, would by part of what is called the Core. It is estimated that the Core spans nearly fifty lightyears in diameter and is governed by at least a dozen interstellar powers. Some of the major powers include the Cetian Consortium, the Omnium, the Centarium, the United States of America, the European Union, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, India, Japan, the Crescent League, the Pan-African Alliance, the South American Alliance, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Keo Terra Interstellar, Universium, Analuska, and Bai.
Terran Space: China
China proved early on to be prolific in their interstellar colonial efforts. After establishing colonies at Terra Secundus, New Atlantis, Fenghaung, Kunlan, and Hanchan, their expansion went virtually unfettered until they made contact with the Cetians. Since then, there have been no more worlds colonized by this government.
Terran Space: European Union
After the joint-colonizations of Terra Secundus and New Atlantis, the European Union waited almost fifty years before renewing its colonial efforts despite owning the rights to the 82 Eridani, Gliese 144 and Gliese 54.1. The Union asserted itself in this part of the Core militarily before colonizing the targeted planets it now possesses. It is believed that there are plans to colonize two additional systems.
Terran Space: India
The Indian colonial effort was made possible by its relationship with Keo Terra Interstellar. The location of its colonies of Chandigarh and Kendriya appear close to Sol, however, based on the current interstellar drive technologies, it take months to get their. Like many of the other nation states, there is no where else to expand. Indian Space is bordered by the Keo Terrans, Anirans, and Russians. It is rumored that the may be a joint-colonial effort with the Keo Terrans somewhere in the Sirius star group.
Terran Space: Russia
Shortly after the Terran Corridor was accesible to all nations, the Russian government sent fleets of survey and exploration vessels into a branch of space that bordered American Space. It was not long before they discovered the border of Aniran space, which quickly ended their deep space aspirations in that part of space. Nonetheless, the Russians were able to colonize the planets Anastas, Maksym, Trjava and Udaci.
Terran Space: United States
During the early years of interstellar exploration, the United States secured the only corridor from Sol for several decades. Without any competition, the systems of Barnard's Star and Epsilon Indi were claimed by the space power. After the passing of the Interstellar Free Trade and Transit Act by the United Nations, the US furthered its colonial holdings in the following systems: Struve 2398, 279 G. Sagitarii, and Gliese 687. Currently, Freedom Corridor is one of the longest deep space routes used by the Terrans linking the colony worlds of Pittman and Hallmark to the Terran core worlds.
Aniran Space

Cetian Space
The Cetians were not an extrasolar power at the time of their First Contact with China. However, they had the means and quickly established a presence closer to Terran controlled space. Although they have a small footprint, their survey missions have shown promising worlds away from Cetian-Terran border space.
Keo Terran Space
Keo Terra Interstellar was the first hypercorp to expand deep into the frontiers of Terran Space. After, colonizing a trio of worlds, the corporation declared itself a true interstellar power.
